President Obama will give his first State of the Union speech tomorrow, January 27, 2009. We need him to use this opportunity to clarify his Afghanistan policy and provide a concrete exit plan for a withdrawal. That way, maybe even his advisers could agree on what it means.

I voted for Obama in large part because I am against the war in Afghanistan. Now I find we are pouring ever more troops and invisible money at it with no clear, achievable strategy or explicit exit plan and date.
Um, Obama said over and over in the campaign that he wanted to refocus our military efforts on Afghanistan. I guess you thought he didn't really mean it?
