Hello World!

Doug Welch from Tucson, AZ

end the war now, bin Laden's dead, our Causus Belli no longer exists, unless we just want to be at war forever. Shrink the military and reduce the deficit the Right Wingers keep whining about

Eugene Copaev from Chicago, IL

End our political agendas. We must hold our government responsible for using our resources. All the suffering there & at home must end. Im starting to loose sight on who exactly is "the evil do'ers".

Pamela Lau from Campbell, CA

end the war in Afghanistan.

Gary Longsine from Missoula, MT

realize energy independence is a national security issue. Security cannot be achieved so long as we buy oil from our enemies. Let's spend the next 10 years and $1 Trillion on alternate energy.

Casey Butcher from Brooklyn, NY

take a long, sober look at our own society. With 2/3 of every tax dollar spent on war, the US has become the deadliest force on Planet Earth today. Is this the legacy we want to leave our children?

Jackie from Aurora, CO

War can only be won when you know your enemy and its culture. It's time to spend the money in our country and our people!

Liz Coromilas from Brooklyn, NY

This really speaks to itself. If you google "More Troops Killed by Suicide Than By War" you get 5,140,000 hits!! How much blood is enough for the rightwing?

Hypnos Rêveur from Buford, GA

realize these wars are waged for profit and politics, not peace and protection. we are in an area where our cultures clash, no amount of force will bring understanding. only casualties. no more death.

Janine Sotomayor from Blanchard, OK

stop repeating the stupidity and destruction from Viet Nam again in Afghanistan. My veteran sisters and brothers deserve better than this senseless slaughter, and our nation can't afford this insanity.

Allan Frazier from Milford, DE

stop the empire building. Didn't the Russian's fail with this country as well? Hello? They get millions in aid, we get heroine. Doesn't seem like a fair trade to me.

Mark Tetreault

put the war profiteers out of business and rebuild the middle class.

Kevin Quinn

Stop this pomegranate-shipping war. When the military starts using the pomegranate as the bellwether of vict'ry it's time to go home. Storing the crop and flying it out of Kandahar. To win?

Mats Börjesson from Gladewater, TX

use our creativity to build peace. It is better than to destroy with war.

Mary Frenzel from Bemidji, MN

If we respected people around the world, justice & peace in Palestine & Iraq not attacking them, we would not have been attacked on 9/11. Afghanis didn't do it. Killing defenseless people is criminal.

Mary Miller from Milton, DE

start saving lives like that of my godson, Thomas Larson, instead of sending our troops to their deaths in a country we had no business invading in the first place.

Neal Fitzgerald from Los Osos, CA

recognize that these wars are not about security or defense. They're about profit for a few at the expense of the rest of us.

Betsy Pierce from San Diego, CA

Because this war is just PLAIN INSANE! Better to build relationships, schools, nurture people, grow food, listen! Build bridges together not bombs. Collaborate not annihilate. Life is too precious! :D

Colin Schroeder from Marietta, GA

understand that killing people doesn't solve anything, and wasting billions of dollars in Iraq and Afghanistan only rewards fraud and corruption.

John Panzer from Berkeley, CA

demonstrate the value of peace. We, as Americans, could go down in history as the superpower that supported the world into peace. Instead, we're just going down, in history.

Mike Schmitz from Sauk Rapids, MN

act like human beings.

Laura Tattoo from Astoria, OR

to stop imposing upon the afghani people what we think they need, all the while killing so many of them with our drones. Bring our men and women home, and let's refocus: with PEACE.

Jeff Meek from Redding, CA

stop killing innocent people in the name of democracy. It's time to band together and demand change in a policy that we know is broken and wrong. Its time to rethink!

Jason Fuller from Gilmer, TX

Stop wasting our resources killing innocent people halfway across the world in a vain attempt to get "revenge" for 9/11.

Chase Davenport from Honolulu, HI

end the pathology of violence that led my brother - an infantryman in the Marine Corps who served two tours in Iraq - to commit suicide.

Robert Stirling from Phoenix, AZ

War is so old school. Surely there are better ways to solve the problems of the world. It is 2011!

Stephen Salgaller from Elkins Park, PA

to realize that we wasted $ 1.3 Trillion, and killed 1.3 million so far (includes Iraq, But why just Rethink Afghanistan ?)

Omar Ahmadzai from Lorton, VA

live and let others live. It's time to stop the blood from spreading further. It's time to give peace a possibility.

Brandon Collins from Charlottesville, VA

stop funding the wars and occupations in all countries where the U$A stomps its boot. The war is illegal, the longer we stay the worse off reconstrucion will be especially for women and children.

Susan Eleuterio from Highland, IN

Show the world we know how to make peace, put our dollars into creating jobs via a new American Works Progress Administration, and show Obama Cares (verb not noun)

Al Nava from Ceres, CA

end this unjust War! Thousands of innocent people, and Troopers are dying for nothing but an idea that was born out of fake reasons to go to War. We're at War with a phantom menace. Hooyah!

David Siegler from Wayne, NJ

stop sacrificing the lives of countless soldiers and civilians for "national security" which is impossible to measure. Bring the troops home and reinvest our tax dollars into education and healthcare!

stop the war because every human has the right to life, and war violates that right.

Jeb Pronto from Weimar, CA

to live up to being the greatest nation on earth an be a people beyond war!

Amy Peters from Glen Cove, NY

start rebuilding this country. our towns, cities and states are all broke because all our resources are going to war.

Roderick Moore from Selma, AL

Because I am on a fixed income, like many Americans that have paid into social security, we now are paying for a war and haven't seen a cost of living increase in two years.

Herb Schulte from Bristol, VT

stop thinking we can change the way people live by force. Violence begets violence. Tolerance and understanding bring harmony and transformation.

Mary Herron from Nehalem, OR

concentrate on protecting our borders instead of borders. Russia couldn't win their war with Afghanistan and neither can we. We do not have the funds to continue this war.

Michael Huber from Cobb, CA

start building bridges at home instead of blowing them up abroad.

Peter Shaffer from San Rafael, CA

for no other reason we should end the war because of all the Afghan civilians that we kill every day in pursuit of protecting our freedom. We are not free,we are prisoners of our own fear. Speak out!

Claudia Heinrich

stop bringing our kids home in a box. Harper committed us to 3 more years without even a parliamentary vote; we will let him know how we feel about that in the next election!

Linea King from Portland, OR

Stop the war! "War is not healthy for children and other living things." We are in the midst of climate crisis and jobs crisis!! Use the money being spent on the war on green jobs instead.

Tim Fanning from Phoenix, AZ

to stop killing people for oil and start lving our lives in peace, making our own choices and letting others make theirs.

Sarah Taft from Franklin, NH

bring our troops and toys home all alive instead of supporting giant corporate bottom lines and the corporatocracy.

Craig Harrah from Overland Park, KS

bring all the troops home. Simple enough. Need I really need to explain?

Francis Battaglia from Pacific Palisades, CA

question the accuracy of a security policy which sends the greatest military on Earth to invade and occupy one of the poorest nations on Earth for 10 years, ignoring history, results, costs and jobs.

Rob Wheeler from Fayetteville, PA

bring our troops home now. The money would be much better spent to assist the Afghans in rebuilding and securing their own country. Let them hold another Loya Jirga to determine how.

Pia Qu

I meant it was time to stop right from 1. second I heard about the bombings at Oct 7. 2001! Member of The Danish PeaceWatch protesting since Oct 19. 2001 each day in front government. today 3385 days

Linda Calder Hornsby from Keego Harbor, MI

STOP NOW! Costs the U.S. 1 million per soldier while our economy is drowning under a $14 trillion debt load and a $1.3 trillion budget deficit; 1,46l American deaths; Afganistan deaths uncertain.

Dave Rink from Sault Sainte Marie, MI

realize that war breeds itself and solves absolutely nothing-- creating more and worse problems than it solves. We demand that our boys come home and an end to depleted uranium munitions use [WMD]

Shawna Murray MD from Hampton, MA

talk to those displaced, injured, slaughtered Afghanistan people who now want nothing more than to take vengeance on all of us.

Sarajean Rossitto from New York, NY

end the war. end the suffering. end the killing end the fraud and abuse. Start working together. Start developing the society start peaceful negotiations Start focusing on a peaceful coexistence

Chad Walstrom from Saint Paul, MN

ask ourselves, are someone else's civilian casualties and our own troop casualties worth theoretical "security"?

Jason Beasley from Kansas City, MO

end American exceptionalism. If we as a people truly believe in the sanctity of each and every human life, than the sanest course of action is immediately end this attack on our own.

David Raphael from Portland, OR

Where to start? You need to bring the troops home now, end the bloodshed, end the violence. Our occupation is fueling the resistance . . . like it did against the British and the Soviets.

Cecilia Bush from Flint, TX

end the wars. My Grandson Curtis has served, his brother and sister deploy next week. Please, God, let us not stay one more day than we are needed. May my Greatgrandson not know what war is.

This "ship sailed" years ago! It is past the time to use these funds creating jobs, rebuilding our military and our nation for future threats!

Kevin Zucker from Baltimore, MD

to stop feeding the war machine.

Paul Dangerstein from Moody, AL

stop throwing money and lives away on something that will never work. It is a twisted plan made by twisted men.

...hire every military-aged Afghan to run their country, at half the cost of what it takes us to do it for them. After all, it is THEIR COUNTRY not ours!

Manuel Baptista

This is a war against all the people! The US Empire, with NATO vassals is using Afghan war to forge the most fearful militarist alliance ever on earth! It's time to stop them!

Karen M Maloney from Grand Junction, CO

War is a money maker, and is aggressively supported by politicians & CEO's, who make billions providing for unwarranted death & destruction. Can we who stand for peace overcome the greedy war mongers?

bring the troops home and refocus our efforts on home

James Herring from Huntington Beach, CA

Realize that we've evolved as a human species beyond our barbaric roots to settle differences. The peaceful wisdom of Budda comes from Afghanistan, acts of War comes from the ignorance of mankind.

Debbie Palacios from Claremont, CA

ACT! By diverting precious American lives and resources to the U.S. military industry, we are left morally and financially bankrupt.

Joshua Hough from Washington, DC

It will never end by itself. The wreckage of the Obama "Change" movement proves that. Only a critical mass of us can tip the balance away from the defense industry lobbies that drive this mess onward.

Di Anna Kruse from Hillsborough, NC

rethink the philosophy of war and that it does far more harm than good.

Steve Addison from Kansas, MO

Get out of this war. 49 million Americans have no insurance and yet we spend billions on a war where we prop up war lords who import the majority of heroin to the rest of the world. This war is wrong.

cut the military, imperialistic budget; get out of Afghanistan NOW!

Mubeen Ahmed

End this war, stop killing innocents. Otherwise afghanistan will be graveyard of another empire.

Wais Mehrabi from Castaner, PR

The war in Afghani was launched with 2 purposes "capture Bin Laden and remove the Taliban regime". Yet none of the objectives are reached. If it continues for another decade without change in the strategy and looking into the root causes, war will not be victorious - meaning the strategy is failed and seek another alternative. Afghans suffer the most in the current war; tens of civilians are killed on daily basis, or suffer financial losses. It reminds of a famous saying "war has no winners" however this is a simple statement that history can stand testimony to. History of war only evokes pictures of mass destruction, plunder, uprooting of houses, buildings and en! tire civilizations. Thereis something sinister and eerie shrouding war, no amount of righteous rationalization can ever justify the cause for starting a war. We have inflected more than 3 million casualties, 3m refugees, around 2m disables and the number is yet to grow. Now the failure war strategies of NATO and US led coalition add to the trauma and pains we bear. Let's end the war. There is always a way out for any problem as there is a saying: "the war will end if we just want it"

Mirwais Hamnawa

end thewar, because it just wastes the time and will not work out well, if war was the only solution it could bring positive result within the past 10 years but unfortunately it made it more complicated.

Segue Fischlin from Seattle, WA

Robin Thompson from Hampton, CT

to be courageous and stand up for peace. To say ENOUGH & redirect our energy towards life sustaining solutions not military destruction.

Terri Eddings from Burbank, CA

Stop resending our troops to Afghanistan multiple times to prolong a war that can't be won. In addition, so many reservists are deployed, there is no one here at home for our own defense!

WILLIAM & GAYLE PRINKEY from Albuquerque, NM

BRING THE TROOPS HOME

Christina Campbell from Greensboro, NC

end the war on terror. It is just creating more terrorists. Bring our men and women home.
